Playground Exercise Snapshot: Push Ups

Pushups provide upper body strength as well as core stability, using a bench or bar at the playground can your hands from getting dirty as well as be a good lead up to full pushups.

1.     Find a bench or low bar to place hands on

2.     The closer your feet are the easier it will be, the farther they are the harder it will be

3.     With a nice straight line from head to heels lower your chest to the bar/bench

4.     Push the bar/bench away from you on the way up, keeping body straight

5.     Focus on keeping the core tight and not letting the lower back slouch

Repeat 8-10 reps for 3-4 sets
