Adam has worked in the health and fitness field for 10 years. He holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Montana, where he was also a collegiate athlete. Adam is a certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine, as well as a Titleist Performance Institute certified golf instructor.
Adam’s goal at Kutting Edge is to help as many people as possible learn how to live healthy and active lifestyles.
Adam’s hobbies include golfing, stand up paddle boarding with his Jack Russell Sadie, and working in his vegetable garden.
Adam’s training philosophy is that there is not a “one-size fits all” solution when it comes to health; it is about balance and finding a program that fits each individual’s lifestyle and goals. He believes every person is different and should be treated accordingly, and that knowledge is key when it comes to setting up a successful health plan.
Dan has worked in the health and fitness field for over 11 years. He holds a B.S. in Applied Health Science from Montana Tech University, where he was also a collegiate athlete. Dan is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine and a level 2 Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Professional. He has been mentored by some of the top golf fitness and fitness business professionals in the country.
Dan’s goal at Kutting Edge is to help as many people as possible be active and healthy so they can experience long, pain-free and fulfilling lives. He also wants people to enjoy fitness and have fun while they are working out.
Dan’s hobbies include golfing and spending time with his wife Cindi, 3 year old son Colt and 1 year old daughter Kenzi. He also enjoys stand up paddle boarding and playing any sports.
Dan’s training philosophy is that you are only as good as the value you provide, so he focuses on trying to make his training sessions and classes the best part of a person’s day and building a community where people look forward to coming in and working out at Kutting Edge Fitness.
Devon has played sports his entire life, always trying to better himself on and off the field. He has a degree in sports and exercise science from Seattle University, where he was also a track and field athlete.
Devon grow up in south California and made his way up to Seattle for school. His hobbies include hiking, traveling, and cooking for the ones he loves.
Devon has his B.S. in Exercise Science and is also a Certified Personal Trainer through ACE.
Devon believes that everyone has a different key to success, we just have to find the right key. Hard work and fun should not be separate while we are on our journey to success.
Garrett has grown up around sports his entire life, embracing all physical challenges. From the collegiate football field to the glaciers of Mount Rainier, Garrett has applied his love for health and fitness to build a fulfilling profession.
Garrett has his B.S. in Exercise Science and holds certifications in the following:
• NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
• USA Weight Lifting Level 1 Sports Performance (USAW-1)
• Crossfit Level 1 (CF-L1)
Growing up in Washington State was just the beginning. Garrett loves to travel and has been all over the world. His travels have provided him with a unique approach to a health and fitness lifestyle that can be taken anywhere.
Believing that everyone is unique and deserves a personalized approach, Garrett prides himself on building strong relationships with those seeking better health and wellness. No matter the individual needs, he believes that the journey to a better you should be fun and exciting.
Mike moved from Michigan to Seattle in mid 2007. He was a CNC lathe operator for 10 years and decided he needed a change. Having a passion for an active lifestyle and fitness he decided to venture here to pursue his dream of becoming a personal trainer/coach. He has been in the fitness industry for 9 years now and absolutely loves helping people/clients achieve their goals.
Mike has his CFSC certification through Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning and also has his 200 hour RYT certification. He believes that combining the two can help create a great balance of strength and mobility/ROM.
Mike’s Training Philosophy: I understand that most people do not want to come to the training studio and workout 3 plus days a week so that is why I do my best to make the workouts fun and enjoyable so that my clients keep coming back. Workouts shouldn’t be dreaded. Sure, they can be hard but accomplishing that in a positive and fun environment I believe keeps the clients motivated to keep focused on their individual goals. I once heard a fantastic quote by a brilliant man, Lenny Parracino, “Movement is LIFE, stagnation is DEATH. “ I just want to keep my clients moving to give them the best possible quality of life they can have.
Alicia is happy to join our team after interning with us while she finished her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Science at Bastyr University and is an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist.
Alicia grew up on Bainbridge Island and has two kids to keep her busy outside of the gym. She played tennis in her youth and now enjoys running, biking, snowboarding, and exploring trails.
Alicia’s Training Philosophy: Alicia believes everyone is unique and deserves the guidance to find their own way of living a healthy life. Health is multifaceted and she is committed to building community around it.
