Healthy Holiday Series – Mocktails!

Mocktails!

It is the last recipe of our Healthy Holiday Series! I’m so glad you guys came on this journey with me – I hope you found some healthy tips and tricks for your holiday season! We are ending on a easy (but important!) note with some delicious Mocktails. I’m sure everyone has heard a million times, ditch the alcohol because of all the empty calories, don’t mix with soda because of all the sugar, don’t drink mixed drinks because of even MORE sugar. So, what does that leave you with to drink? Tap water? For me, that is boring and not at all festive. Plus, who doesn’t like to have a fun drink once and a while? So. I took this recipe and made it my own! These are all of my favorite ingredients, but I encourage you to choose your favorites to make this something you want to drink.

Ingredients

  • Bubble Water  – I used lime
  • 100% Juice – I used cranberry
  • Agave Syrup
  • Garnish – I used lime and orange

Now, it’s time to start mixing! I usually start with a 2:1 ratio of liquid, and about a tablespoon of agave and adjust things to taste. I used about 3/4 cup juice and 1 1/2 cup of bubble water.

Then, it’s as simple as stirring everything together and pouring it over ice!

Don’t be shy about bringing your own drink ingredients to whatever holiday party you are attending. No one will fault you for wanting to be successful on your meal plan, plus the host will most likely appreciate that you brought your own ingredients!

What is your favorite drink for a holiday party? Let me know in the comments below what your New Years Eve plans are!

See you in 2017!
