I can hear it now, “you can’t have dessert without finishing your vegetables”. Thanks mom! We all know that vegetables are good for us and the more we eat, the better. But sometimes it is hard to find ways to sneak more vegetables into our days, salads can get so boring and they often don’t leave you feeling full. So here are some tricks that you can use to put more vegetables into your life.
Breakfast: grab a bag of frozen veggies and throw some into your eggs
Lunch: Spinach, kale, arugula, cabbage, broccoli, etc, add some protein powder and berries to sweeten, BAM! A high vegetable smoothie!
Dinner: Layer your protein over a bed of roasted or raw vegetables. Think spaghetti and meatballs with roasted peppers, zucchini, and tomatoes instead of the pasta.
Snacking: Raw veggies are great for snacking. Stock up on carrots, sliced peppers, snap peas, celery, and cucumbers are just a few options. Pack them for a healthier snack that will get you closer to your vegetable goals.
