No, not how fast can you eat, but how long are you typically taking to eat a meal? It takes around 15-20 minutes for your gut to tell your brain that you are full. Slow down, sit down, enjoy the time and savor the flavors. In our hectic daily grind, it is easy to get carried away when we finally have a second to eat. Often, you are pressed for a quick lunch or even a meal “on the go”. When we aren’t thinking about the food, it becomes easier to overeat and dump unnecessary calories into your body, making you tired, sluggish, and adversely impacting your health and fitness goals. Challenge yourself to stop, think and genuinely enjoy the meal in front of you.
