So, you have picked the perfect restaurant, great! Now let’s further customize your meal. Remember, restaurants are in the business of customer service. They want you to be happy so you will return and spend more of your hard-earned money. Tell the waiter exactly how you need things prepared. Grilled chicken with no butter, salad dressing on the side, steamed vegetables, fresh greens and fruits instead of fries. Depending on the restaurant, customizations can add an additional cost. An extra 5 dollars spent on a healthier meal will pay off in the long run, DO IT!. If the restaurant brings bread or chips to the table, politely ask them to remove them and add a pitcher of water. Spend the time before your food arrives to socialize with your company and sip on a cool glass of water. Drinking a full glass of water before a meal will help combat over eating and further increase your daily hydration goals. Remember, it’s your meal and it should be adjusted to fit your individual needs. If you get flak from the waiter and they say that they cannot customize your order. Follow these steps: #1 Stand up, #2 Slide in Chair, #3 Thank the waiter and go to a different restaurant. They want your money and will do as much as they can to keep you happy. Now get out there, enjoy your night out with no guilt attached.
