Don’t Leave Home Without It…

Wallet, keys, cell phone, husband/wife…Check, check, check, and check. Everyone has necessities that they just simply cannot live without, you would feel naked without it, and your day would just not feel complete. I want you to add a few new things to this list of essentials. Water bottle! Seems simple, right? How often are you running about your day without thinking about hydration. You will often not think about it until it is too late. Make it a goal to have a FULL water bottle on you always. If you constantly have it, you will hopefully be constantly sipping from it, helping to maintain adequate hydration throughout your entire day. Snack Foods! No, I am not talking about fruit snacks or lunchables, I wish. I am talking about an appropriate snack for YOU! Aim for a snack that is high in protein and fats, and limited carbohydrates. I really like mixed nuts, nut butters, protein bars, fresh fruits/vegetables, and/or meats. With the endless types of convenience foods out there, the possibilities are nearly endless. Make sure you think ahead of time and make sure that the snacks you carry around with you are appropriate for your specific nutritional needs. In closing, remember that the better prepared you are, the better choices you will make. Plan and make sure you set yourself up for success.
