Coach G Nutrition Corner: Add don’t subtract
These days everybody talks about what they are NOT eating. “I feel great ever since I took out dairy, gluten, sugar, etc.” Well of course! If you decide to take something out of your diet, you are most likely adding something else back in. Think this way instead, “I feel great since I started eating more fruits, vegetables, and lean protein.” When you are thinking about your current nutrition plan, try to look at adding healthier options as opposed to just eliminating others. If you surround yourself with great, high quality nutritious foods you will have less urges to reach for those foods not on your plan.
